Prof. Mingsheng Liao - 廖明生


Prof. Liao works in State Key Lab. of Information Eng. in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS), Wuhan University. His areas of research experience contains remote sensing image processing and analysis, algorithms for interferometric SAR, integration and Fusion of multi-source spatial information, applications of remote sensing data

He is member of Chinese Society of Geodesy, Cartography and Photogrammetry as well as Hong Kong Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He served as a reviewer for IEEE TGR, PE&RS, Journal of Remote Sensing,China, Journal of WHU, Journal of Shanghai University etc., and also is reviewer for the project of National Nature Foundation, State Ministry of Science and Technology,China.

Prof. Lu Zhang - 张路


Prof. Lu Zhang is works in LIESMARS of Wuhan University. His main research area covers radar remote sensing data processing and analysing, remote sensing image classification and change detection. Prof. Zhang hosted 2 National Natural Science Funds, and participated in several national natural science funds, the Ministry of science and technology of 973 projects, 863 projects, Hongkong RGC project and other national and provincial research projects, as well as ESA, JAXA, DLR, ASI and other organizations' international cooperative research projects.


Prof. Zhang co-authored more than 40 publications including 13 SCI journal papers.He serves as IJRS, PE&RS, Journal ISPRS and other international academic journals reviewers.

Prof. Timo Balz 


From fall 2001 to the end of 2007, he was a Research Assistant with the Institute for Photogrammetry, Universität Stuttgart. Between 2004 and 2005, he was a Visiting Scholar with Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. From 2008-2010, he has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS), Wuhan University. From 2010-2015 he was Associate Professor for Radar Remote Sensing with LIESMARS. Since 2015 he is Full Professor with LIESMARS.


He serves as Associate Editor for the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters. He is also member of the Editorial Board of Geo-Spatial Information Science. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific articles in journals, books, and conference proceedings.
